A widower in Derby, UK has revealed that he slept next to his wife's body for six days after she passed away in April.
Russell Davison, 50, said his wife Wendy passed away three years after doctors giving her only six months to live.
Doctors diagnosed Wendy with cervical cancer a short while after the couple's joint 40th birthday in November 2006.

In an interview, Russell said he did not want to take Wendy's body to a mortuary, adding that people should not be afraid of spending time with the body of their loved one.
He said: "I did not want her in the mortuary or handed over to a funeral director; I wanted us to take care of her ourselves at our family home, have her in our bedroom so I could sleep in the same room."

He added: "Having Wendy's body here and being able to sit with her all day, have her friends and family come to sit with her, chat with her, chat about her and light candles and incense on her alter proved to be such a beautiful and comforting experience for me, the boys and all that are taking part."

Russell took care of Wendy with the help of her two sons, Luke and Dylan, as well as his sons Benjamin and Dominic.
