- The woman who was famously unmasked in 2015 for passing as a black person is now in a new interview
- Rachel Dolezal even had a job as an African-American representative
- She now feels she is "transracial", as a racial equivalent of being “transgender”
Rachel Dolezal, who became the center of a racial scandal in 2015, for passing as a black person during a ten-year period, was interviewed this weekend by famous TV show host Dr Phil.
The 39-year-old genetically white woman decided to transform herself into an African-American after 2004, when she divorced her black husband, with whom she had two children.
Dolezal even became head of a regional National Association for the Advancement of Colored People office. But all this came apart when her parents went to a TV show and announced that she had been born white, freckles included.

"You pretended to be black. You perpetrated a lie. You agree with that, right?" Dr Phil asked her on the interview, to which she responded that she did not. He then asked her why people were upset with her, and she replied: "You would have to ask them."

Dolezal calls herself "transracial," claiming that her relationship with the four black children her parents adopted when she was a teenager, made her feel "closer to something that felt oddly familiar".
Dr Phil performed a harsh interview in his traditional straight-forward style. Dolezal has insisted ethnicity is not biological, but admits that "I'm not perfect. I make mistakes."
