Angry leopard takes on python in deadly death fight - who wins (photos, video)

A rather terrifying video footage of deadly combat between mother leopard and huge rock python has emerged. One of the two was killed and swallowed.

The video, which was allegedly captured in Kruger National Park in South Africa, shows the two sworn enemies take on each other with all the weapons available in their defence.
It all started when the rock python threatened to bite the leopard’s cub, which had spotted the snake coiling itself in between the rocks.
The non-venomous snake, on sensing danger from the intruder, reacted by hissing to scare off the cub. A big mistake.

The cub then tried to attack the fierce-looking python with its paw but clearly he was no match. The serpent could easily take him down, squeeze him until he can’t breathe, and eventually swallow him wholesomely.
So the cub alerted the mother who, without any hesitation, dashed to the scene to inspect what was going on. The mother tried to dislodge the python from its hole and was met with a stinging bite in the process.

The battle that started somehow playfully between the cub and the snake quickly escalated into a full blown combat that only death was going to settle.

The leopard, having been bitten, unleashed her fighting skills. She severally pawed and slapped the python’s head with its razor-sharp and strong claws, even as the snake responded furiously.
“It was kind of comical but also incredibly intriguing to watch a real life lesson in surviving the dangers in the bush,” says the person who uploaded the dramatic video footage, adding that it was a rare and unusual event.
And finally, the winner was declared. According to those who closely followed the death fight, without blinking an eye, the mother leopard carried the day.
The leopard allegedly chewed and swallowed the enemy after butchering it.
