Judge grants bail to men who killed a Muslim, blames his religion provoked the murder (photos)

The Bombay High Court in India made an unprecedented move in favor of three men who were accused of murdering a Muslim man, claiming his "religion was a provocation".
The accused were granted bail, which came as a shock for the man's family.
Justice Mridula Bhatkar said “the applicants/accused do not have criminal record and it appears that in the name of the religion, they were provoked and have committed the murder.”

The men, Vijay Gambhire, Ranjeet Yadav and Ajay Lage, are members of Hindu Rashtra Sena (HRS). “We had submitted that the accused had no other motives, such as personal enmity against the innocent victim… however… the accused were clearly provoked in the name of religion and thus committed the murder,” Debajyoti Talukdar, the lawyer representing the accused, said.
The three men hit the deceased, called Shaikh, and another friend with hockey sticks, and apparently had no provocation from the victim´s side.
