Recall that just recently, the openly gay Nigerian man who relocated to the US after he came out of the closet in January 2015, expressed his sadness at not being able to come back home for fear of being lynched.

He said he's homesick but that even though it can be awfully lonesome sometimes, he is happy he can walk the streets in the US as a gay man without fear of being attacked.
