A school bus driver in South Carolina, US averted tragedy by immediately evacuating 56 students from her bus just before it burst into flames.
Teresa Stroble reacted quickly on Tuesday, May 9 when she heard two students alerting her about smoke in the bus.
The experienced driver stopped the bus and ushered all students, who were drawn from Duncan Elementary, Beech Springs Intermediate and Byrnes High School, out.
A few moments after she evacuated all the students, the bus burst into flames.
While evacuating, she alerted her transport office to call emergency fire services, who arrived within minutes and put out the fire.

South Carolina Education Department officials said they were investigating the cause of the fire.
An education official, Scott Turner, hailed Stroble for her quick-thinking actions that saw her evacuating the students "in under a minute," adding: "She did exactly what she was trained to do."
Turner added: "She kept the students calm. She made sure they were safe. They were her first priority. She's our hero today."
Reports indicate Stroble has been a school bus driver for seven years and is also a teaching assistant.
