Notorious phone and bag snatcher in Delta meets his doom (photos)

- A notorious phone snatcher terrorizing Delta state has met his doom

- The 22-year-old man was caught on Saturday, June 17 after he tried stealing from a young girl

Chijioke Kanu, a notorious criminal known for snatching phones and bags in Delta state, has been caught. The 22-year-old thief was caught after he attacked and snatched the handbag of a young girl.

Kanu has two other accomplices who work with him. He was caught at Ime-Obi area of Agbor in Delta state on Saturday, June 17 after him and his gang members snatched the bag of a young girl and tried escaping on their motorcycle.

The group met their doom with the presence of Agbor Gha Ihun security group who was at the spot. The shout of the victim alerted the security operative and this made him go after them with his car. He hit the motorcycle with his car and this stopped them.

His gang members fled while Kanu was caught. Upon being interrogated, he confessed t the crime and said they specialize in the snatching of bags and phones.

Kanu mentioned the names of his gang members after he was caught.

“Collins, Emma and i,were on our way to buy weed around Oza House area in Agbor-Obi around 8pm on Saturday night when we saw a young girl with a handbag,attacked her and made away with her handbag. I am a Jambite,i want to read Political Science in University of Benin-City. If i am pardoned i will not go into crime again."

The notorious thief says he is a Jambite who is ready to turn a new leaf.

He gave the names of the other members as Tony Collins Idegbekwu who is a bricklayer and Emma, an Okada rider.
