Meet Malawi billionaire pastor whose favourite food is Fufu with Egusi soup (photos)
Controversial man of God in Malawi Prophet Shepard Bushiri but fondly called, Major One during his visit to Nigeria recently confessed his love for a particular Nigerian dish.
NAIJ.com gathered that Prophet Bushiri was in Nigeria based on an invitation from Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, in Warri. During his stay in Nigeria, he was made to try some African dishes and he totally fell in love with them.
Aside from being in love with African dishes the prophet is also reported to be a young billionaire. Read excerpts of his interview below:
We observed that in your ministry, when you minister and heal the less privileged, what is motive behind your philanthropic gestures?
Jesus told us that before we can be his disciples that we have to follow his footsteps. The bible said, 'Jesus was doing good' and all his disciples witnessed it. So, if we as followers of Christ see those that are handicapped, we have to follow the footsteps of our master. Those who have two can share those who have 1 can share as well. We are following the scriptures that’s why we can't stop giving.

You visited the prisons recently, what message did you take to them and how can our politicians learn from your good gestures?
Jesus said when I was in the prison, you visited me, when I was on the sick bed and you came for me. Those people in prison and hospitals are also our brothers. We have to carry them along. We took the message of the gospel to them, so that when they come out they can join us and worship God. It's all about Evangelism. Telling them about Christ, who he is, how he looks like and how he died to save us.
What message do you have for Nigeria?
The message I have for Nigeria is love. You have lots of potentials to build your nation based on godly values and morals but it can only be achieved with love. So, we have brought the message of love. Nigerians have lots of problems, divisions, confusion, so the message of love and hope that we brought is quite timely and important.
You are called the billionaire prophet in Africa, how did you attain such financial status within a short period?
Aside from my prophetic office, I'm a family man. I'm also an entrepreneur and a businessman. I have chains of businesses and I invest a lot. I believe that youths should stay focused, committed and become an entrepreneur. They should be hard workers. Don't be a believer but also a worker. My partner here, Jeremiah Fufeyin also did and is still doing lots of investing in so many things, especially hospitality.

How is your experience in Nigeria these past few days?
Nigeria is a beautifully blessed country. It's a spiritual country. What we are doing here is not new but the message we brought is important. Our concentration here is not just to perform miracles but to lead people to Christ. By changing people's lives through our preaching and messages.
What's your favorite Nigerian food?
Egusi soup and Fufu. I like it so much but I don't like pepper at all. In fact, we don't eat pepper at all. I ate a peppered soup the other time and it seemed like a miracle because nothing happened to me.
