APC governorship candidate donates N7 million to clergy's book launch

The APC governorship aspirant at the National Assembly, Senator Andy Uba on Saturday, June 17 joined other dignitaries to celebrate the 50th birthday of Rev. Dr. Owen. C. Nwokolo of the Diocese of the Niger, Basilica of St. Andrew Odo-Akpu, Onitsha; Anambra state.
Senator Uba expressed optimism that with more people like the celebrant, the society will experience a lot more transformation.
NAIJ.com gathered that the Golden Jubilee celebration also doubled as the second session of the third synod and book launching, authored by the celebrant.

The senator who currently represents Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, donated a staggering sum of seven million naira for the book launch which attracted loud cheers from the audience.
He also promised to support the church with two-trailer loads of cement for the completion of a state-of-the-art international conference center.
In addition to that, the governorship hopeful bought the book for all clergymen in the church.
The book is titled: Parenting in the Old Testament: Contemporary patterns, challenges and solutions for Nigeria.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion include Anambra state governor; Willie Obiano, former vice president; Chief Alex Ekwueme, former Central Bank of Nigeria governor; Dr Chukwuma Soludo and former minister of power; Professor Chinedu Nebo.
NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Senator Uba has kick-started his sensitization tour to various local government areas in Anambra state.
The APC gubernatorial candidate is one of the leading aspirants aspiring to unseat incumbent, Chief Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
