14-year-old physically challenged girl receives 20 wheelchairs (photos)
A 14-year-old physically-challenged girl, Jamila Musa, in Shuwarin, Kiyawa local government area of Jigawa state, has received 20 wheelchairs and three sewing machines from donors.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Musa burst into tears after a group of the National Youths Service Corp (NYSC) members donated wheelchairs to physically challenged people in the state without giving her one.
However, after the girl’s news went viral on social media, she started receiving gifts from a lot of philanthropists all over Nigeria.
It was gathered that two of the latest donors, Mr Chidi Okereke and Aliyu Ibrahim Gebi, donated eight wheelchairs and N20, 000 to the girl.
According to Zinab Shuaibu who represented the two donors this Thursday, June 1, the two donors also volunteered to assist her with her school fees.
Shuaibu also presented the young girl with N20,000 naira cash gift.
The 14-year-old girl who is in primary four pupil expressed that she is overwhelmed with the love shown to her by fellow Nigerians.
