Little girl who was beaten for going to her neighbour's house to watch TV gets her own (photos)
NAIJ.com reported that a young girl was brutalised by her father for going to a neighbour's house to watch television.
A well-meaning Nigerian man brought the attention of social media users to the plight of little Esther Shogunle, whose father beat up seriously for daring to go to a neighbour's place to watch TV.
Esther couldn't watch TV in her house because the one they owned wasn't functioning anymore.
When news about her ordeal broke on the internet, some Nigerians decided to wade into the situation by buying a new television set in her name, and renting an apartment for her as well.

Esther and her mother have moved into their new home, where they now have their own TV and a paid-for 2-year GoTV subscription.
