NAIJ.com came across a heartbreaking story shared by a Twitter user who was assaulted and almost dragged to her death by a male captor.

Lots of women have experienced some form of violence from either their partners or random men and had to keep quiet in times past, but thanks to social media, some are actually able to get help and eventually get to share their stories for others to learn from it.

The #menaretrash recently trended on South African Twitter, and some ladies decided to use it as an avenue to share their stories with the world.

One of those ladies, a Twitter user identified as Alexandra Buki Deen @BlackSnow99, shared her story about how she managed to escape with her life after she was assaulted by a man.
