Father shows support for 3-year-old son who eats through his STOMACH (photos, video)

This US dad could easily win dad of the year contests year in and year out.

Elijah Sr.'s three-year-old son, Chace, has a congenital heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot.

This means that he is underweight because he is not able to feed orally as frequently as normal kids do. He therefore has to use a feeding tube to keep him from losing weight.

However, young Chace has no reason to worry because his dad is so supportive. In a viral post shared on Because of Them We Can's Facebook page, he showed just why.

The post showed a picture of Elijah Sr. with his son Chace both showing off their abs. Elijah had playfully donned one of Chace's feeding tubes to show solidarity with his son.

Elijah signed off his post in a heartwarming way: "But as long as I'm breathing, I'll always support my son and he'll never be in a fight alone."
