Former US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were pictured vacationing on the exotic island of Mo'orea in French Polynesia this past weekend.

Other holiday goers at the island took pictures of the former First Couple in holiday mode, with Obama seen swimming and Michelle seen paddleboarding.

A local TV station, which obtained the pictures, said in their report: "True to his reputation, he (Obama) was very relaxed."

The holiday goers also said that Michelle and Barack used a small boat to make an excursion and were accompanied by two other boats carrying their security detail.

Obama has been writing his White House memoirs over the past one month at the exclusive Brando resort off Tahiti. Even though Michelle was not with him during that time, she flew in on Saturday, April 8, to join him.
