The report said the defectors were received by the secretary to the Ondo state government, Ifedayo Abegunde, at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the governor's office in Akure, the capital of the state.
Oloyelogun explained that they decided to move over to the ruling APC due to the lingering crisis in the PDP both in the state and at the national level just as he also revealed that the other lawmakers, mostly loyal to the Jumoke Akindele's faction of the PDP, have already showed their interest to also join the APC due to the PDP crisis.
NAIJ.com reports that the PDP had been in crises since the party lost the 2015 general election to the APC at the centre.
At the national level, the party is factionalised between Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi.
