A US man on a morning walk encountered a bizarre scene of a tree in a cemetery burning from the inside out and has shared the eery footage online.
The tree burning from the inside out
Jim Probst said he woke early in the morning after a night of huge thunderstorms to see smoke billowing not far from his house.
He added that he left his dog, which was too scared to venture out after the thunderstorms, behind and went for his usual walk before coming across the strange scene.
The tree had apparently been struck by lightning
Jim said he noticed a large chunk of the tree's bark had fallen off and surmised that the tree had been hit by lightning.

After quickly posting a video of the burning tree on Facebook, Jim noticed that comments were more bizarre than the incident.
The fact that the tree was located in a cemetery prompted some to speculate that they could see faces of people inside the burning trunk. Some even said the tree was "demonic."
