The shocking video shows how the thief is being hit on the head with a shovel by one of the bystanders.

The author of the video wrote that the police arrived just in time to save the thief from the angry mob that had already poured petrol on him and wanted to burn him.
"They caught him before but this time they said that they were tired of beating him‚" the author wrote.

The thief was reportedly taken to the hospital for his injuries to be treated, and he told doctors and police that the mob held him in the hole while he was being beaten.

A spokesperson for the police stated: "The police condemn such behavior where people take the law into their own hands. We urge people to follow the right procedure‚ should they suspect someone of being involved in criminal activity."
