Despite the bill against homosexuality which will see anyone found guilty serving a jail term of 14 years, a Nigerian man has openly come out as gay.

According a post shared on Instablog9ja, an Instagram user identified as @denton_west, has openly declared himself as gay.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Denton wrote:

"I am tired of pretending. I am 100% gay and I am proud of it. More than 30% of Nigerians are. Be proud of who you are."
