A man on Instagram simply identified as, @officialchrisay, has received a huge shock at a supermarket in Maryland after he saw a tail of croaker fish being sold for N42,000.

Nigerian man claims a piece of croaker fish is sold for N42K at Lagos supermarket

@officialchrisay shared a photo of the small fried fish in a disposable plate. He said he bought the fish at the Grand square supermarket in Lagos state.

He wrote: “So earlier today, i was at the Grand square supermarket in Victoria Island, to get some snacks to quench my cravings. Guess what I saw? Can you imagine this piece of fish is sold for 42,000 Naira? Shouldn't this be a wake up call for all Nigerians to go into fishing? Water don pass Garri o”
