13 amazing photos of Nigeria taken before independence that would be auctioned for N400k
Some fascinating pictures of Nigeria taken decades before her independence have emerged and are set to be auctioned for about N400,000. The pictures reflect the typical Nigerian culture and the enthusiasm of most of the citizens.
Pictures which showed dancing children, marching warriors, science lessons and so on have become treasures as they would be auctioned at the said amount above.
Most of these pictures were taken by Edward Harland Duckworth who was the inspector of education in Nigeria between 1930 and 1944.
The pictures were collated into an album by Henry Svory, his friend, who was heading a department in University of Ibadan then. The pictures reflect the lives of the native population in the country long before her independence.
It is intriguing to know that these pictures, which have been around for more than 65 years, are tipped to sell for N400k.
