Stop going overseas for everything and Nigerian economy will grow - Presidency warns Nigerians
Presidency has denied that APC or President Buhari at any time during his election campaign promises to make one dollar equal to one naira.
President Muhammadu Buhari's Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad has denied that President Muhammadu Buhari at any time during his campaign made promises to reduce the exchange rate of a dollar to equal a Naira.
Ahmaad reportedly made the denial on twitter after a Nigerian, David Attah reminded him of the campaign promise allegedly made by the president.

Attah asked him: “Just for clarity. Did PMB, PYO or the APC campaign team ever promise to make N1 equal to $1?"
Ahmaad replied by saying: “There was no such promise. Never!”
Ahmaad also said when Nigerians start to patronise Nigeria made-in-Nigeria goods, the economy will be revived from its current recession.
Recall that during the 2015 presidential campaign, President Buhari reportedly said at the South-East presidential rally of APC at Dan Anyima stadium, Owerri allegedly said: "It is sad that the value of the Naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation's economy."

Meanwhile, the minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi said Nigerians have to wait till the end of four years for the change promised by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the APC did not promise Nigerians that it would fix the country’s promises within a year, Daily Trust reports.
The minister said: “We did not promise you that those challenges will be solved in one year, if we promise you that those challenges would be solved in one year you would have given us one year but you gave us four years mandate so wait till the end of four years.”
