Marco Verratti Only Wants To Join Barcelona
Marco Verratti has dealt a blow to Juventus and Inter by saying he will only leave PSG for Barcelona, reports La Nazione.
The Italy international, 24, is contracted to the Ligue 1 champions until the summer of 2021.
The diminutive playmaker told AS: ‘Even though I am currently in a good project and I feel at home, any player would play for Barcelona.
‘They are still the best team in the world. They have the three best players in attack, and [Andres] Iniesta too. Iniesta, [Lionel] Messi and Neymar create a move in a second.’
Verratti’s representative Donato Di Campli spoke to L’Equipe and warned the club the clock is ticking for his man to fulfil his Champions League ambition in Paris.
He said: ‘Our goal is always the same: to win the Champions League with PSG, which is also the ambition of the club.
‘It’s not a question of getting Marco out at any price, but he wants to win this event. And if this is not possible at PSG, then he will do it elsewhere.’
