“I Will Continue At Arsenal Or Somewhere Else” – Wenger Says

Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger, has disclosed that he will still be a manager next season, whether it is at Arsenal “or somewhere else.”

The Frenchman, however, refused to speak on whether he will leave the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger, who has spent over 20 years at Arsenal said on Friday that he will make his decision on whether to stay in the job in March or April, but added that Wednesday’s 5-1 bashing by Bayern Munich would not make him to quit managing.

He told news conference ahead of Monday’s FA Cup match against Sutton United, “No matter what happens, I will manage next season, whether it’s here or somewhere else. That’s absolutely for sure.

“You do not stay somewhere for 20 years to then walk out after a defeat like that [against Bayern]. It is difficult to take, but I have the strength and experience to respond to that.”

Wenger, whose contract expires in the summer, has come under heavy pressure after the demoralising defeat in Germany, which likely means they will exit the Champions League in the round of 16 for the seventh straight year.

Before the match in Germany, Wenger had told ZDF that he would decide his future in March or April and confirmed that remained the case on Friday.

He added, “If I said March or April, it is because I didn’t know.”
