A sick man, simply identified as Umaru, has been seen in Abuja with his intestines sticking out of his belly.

Umaru, who is a Muslim from Tsohon Karshi, Nasarawa state is in serious distress because of his unfortunate sickness. He urgently needs funds to undergo surgery.

A Facebook user, Sheikh Yahaya Abdullahi Mato, shared the story and photos on his page. He said he met the man in Abuja and was moved to tears when he told him his story.

He said Umaru's wife was taken away from him by her family leaving him with his illness and his children whom he struggles to take care of.

Mato said the National Hospital in Abuja charged Umaru N450,000 for the operation. He asked people to send help if they can afford to do so.
