A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, January 9, has refused an application by a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain seeking to reopen the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja.

But applicant's counsel, Joel Onumonu informed the court that he has the proof of service conducted by the court bailiffs.

Engr Nwosu brought the fundamental rights enforcement application against the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over the continued closure of the office, also know as 'Wadata Plaza', forcing staff out of the premises.

The PDP National Chairmanship dispute between Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi is presently before the Appeal Court in Abuja.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of being behind the continued closure of its secretariat in Abuja.

In a press statement signed and released by its spokesperson Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the party said the APC blocked the courts from resolving the intra-party court case between aggrieved PDP members to run down the party

It then commended staff members that held a protest at the Wadata Plaza secretariat on Wednesday, January 4, calling for the re-opening of the facility.
