Arsenal Boss Tips Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi To Replace ‘Special’ Mesut Ozil

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has tipped Alex Iwobi to better well in place of Mesut Ozil.

The German star is ruled out of the Gunners game against Crsytal Palace through illness but WEnger believes the Nigerian younsgter could do the magic his absence.

The Arsenal told Sky Sports: ‘Iwobi will play today [in Ozil’s position]. Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny are also players who can make passes.

‘Mesut Ozil is special a special player though – we have to make up for his absence in a more collective way.’

Ozil has come under intense criticism from Arsenal fans due to his inconsistent performances and probability to fade in big games.

Arsene Wenger will only hope his men bounce back against Crystal Palace following their recent poor results in the Premier League.
