Why Buhari cannot fight corruption and Nigeria is in recession - Ben Bruce opens up

- Corruption cannot be fought without changing the system, says Senator Ben Bruce

- He said Nigeria was in recession because of the absence of youth participation in governance

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, representing Bayelsa East constituency in the National Assembly said there is no way corruption can be fought when the cost of living is about N60000 per month and minimum wage is N18000.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the senator said it is the system that is corrupt and not Nigerians.

He said: “When the actual cost of living is somewhere around ₦60k per month and minimum wage is ₦18k there is no way you can fight corruption.

“It is not Nigerians that are corrupt. It is their system that is corrupt. If you don't change that system, you can't ever end corruption."
