Suspected cultist reveals the real reason he joined the cult (photo)
A man, Chibuike Ibenye, has confessed to joining a secret cult known as, Aiye, because he was assured that he would make money as a member.

The 27-year-old man who was arrested alongside another member, Lekan Olawori, said he later discovered that the group does not have any means to make him rich.
Ibenye, expressed that his condition worsened after he joined, but he was unable to leave the cult because they threatened to kill him.

He added that because of the cult, he had to sever ties with his loved ones and when he ran into this trouble, his father who is a popular auto dealer refused to come to his rescue.
He claimed remorse, stating that he would change his entire lifestyle. He said: “if by the Grace of God, I was freed, I will change my entire lifestyle and live responsibly because I have learnt my lesson.”
The two cultist were arrested with arms such guns, axes, cutlasses, live ammunition loaded in a vehicle for an operation in, Isashi area of Lagos.
