According to a post shared by a Facebook user Don Sly, the unidentified woman had rejoiced over power changing hands during the presidential elections, which led to her lover brutalizing her for not supporting the outgoing president John Mahama.
Sharing the post, he wrote:
"Good morning GHANA. Look at what a man did to this woman yesterday 9t at New Tafo zongo. Just bcos she went to jubilate the victory of the NPP. The worse part of it is, the man is not married to this woman yet….! Please tell me, what does this man deserve?????"

The woman who is reportedly a strong supporter of the incoming president Nana Akufo-Addo, was left severely bruised and battered with noticeable skin colouration.
