Goodluck Jonathan congratulates Amina Mohammed with UN appointment

- Former president Goodluck Jonathan also couldn't help but felicitate Ms Mohammed with her achievement
As soon as the appointment of Amina J. Mohammed, the minister of environment of Nigeria, UN Deputy Secretary-General was made public, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan took to his official Facebook account to send his sincere congratulations to the outstanding minister.

He wrote: "My hearty congratulations to Amina Mohammed who has been appointed Deputy Under Secretary General of the United Nations.
This is a thing of joy to me and certainly a proud day for Nigeria. Knowing her antecedents, it is a given that she will excel in this role. Congratulations once again. GEJ."
Previously, Ms Mohammed was the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's Special Adviser on Post-2015 Development Planning.

She was appointed to this position on 7 June 2012. Mohammed was appointed Hon Minister of the Environment by President Buhari when he swore in his new Cabinet on November 11, 2015.
