Adeosun, however, said the shortfall was included in the virement recently approved by the National Assembly.
She said her Ministry “only received the advice on the virement on Monday” and that it was being loaded to the system after which the agencies will get back online on the payment portal.
Premium Times reports that Adeosun further gave reasons on why the agencies ran out of funds, stating that some of the agencies employed additional staff without updating the Finance Ministry on time.
“Agencies should tell us in time so that necessary measures will be taken,” she said.
Meanwhile, some men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have allegedly threatened the Muhammadu Buhari-led government that they could be forced to begin taking bribes like officials of the Nigeria Police Force except they are immediately paid their November salaries.
The has been severally rated as one of the most corrupt federal institutions in the country with the FRSC maintaining a level of respect, but the current threat is because they are reportedly being owed their salaries and allowances.
